Letter Writing: To Your Younger Brother

As elder brothers/sisters we have to give proper advice to our younger siblings on different aspects of life. But we have to make it clear that we are giving them the advice for their benefit and not for their pain.

The opening paragraph of the letter should immediately capture the reader’s interest and state the purpose of the introduction. Remember that people are busy and may receive many introductory letters daily.

Make It Informal

It is very important to give proper advice to your younger brother on different aspects of life. This will help them in a lot of ways. But you have to keep in mind that the letter must not be very formal or semi-formal.

The salutation should be very short, preferably with only the first name and last name. It is also important to avoid tangents in the body of the letter, which will make it lengthy and unnecessarily formal. At the end, you can use a standard complimentary close, similar to the salutation, before authentically signing your signature. This will give it a more personalized touch.
