During preschool one of the most effective teaching tool is vocabulary flashcards. Using them can help build a student’s vocabulary range and sightword knowledge. Often during kindergarten teachers will use flashcards to build up their learning developments.

When using these flashcards in your lessons or at home, I highly suggest that you get the child to engage with the picture. Get them to describe the picture and mimic an action that can be associated with it. Visual learning is most effective when they react.
